Bug description:

  Dapper Drake i386 Desktop CD, Kubuntu Netbook Edition Karmic i386 CD
  (2009-08-13)

  After booting the live CD, I clicked the "Install" icon on the desktop.
  In step three of the install wizard, it ask about the keyboard layout.

  The problem is that it defaults to default 'US' layout, even if I
  choose an alternate keyboard map in Preferences or with setxkbmap.
