Title:
Check if reportable, before offering to report
Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: apport
At the moment, 90% of crashes are non-reportable, because the rdepends
installed packages are deemed to be out of date.
Ideally apport should check if non-reportability is going to be the
case before showing the dialogue/notification and if so, go straight
to the:
"An application crashed, but it is unreportable because: The
following packages are out of date: x, y, z" screen.
This would avoid pretending to offer users a choice over something
that they have no control over.
