Title:
  Boot screen not displaying correctly

Status in plymouth package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
A blank pink screen with 1" black borders appears after the grub boot
menu. After 27 seconds, it switches to a black screen. On that black
screen, in the upper left quadrant, Ubuntu 19.10 is displayed as text
with animated dots underneath. After a few more seconds, a purple
screen appears for a couple of seconds and then the desktop is
  displayed.

When I shutdown or restart ubuntu, the graphical shutdown screen works
  correctly.
