[nvidia] Automatic login fails and then all subsequent logins fail. Killing gnome-session-binary fixes it, or just not using automatic login.

Title:
Plymouth with Nvidia Drivers causes login loop at GDM
Status in gdm3 package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Summary :-
Login loop on GDM after installing nvidia drivers using ubuntu-drivers autoinstall sript.
Hardware :- Nvidia GTX 1070 with a Intel Core i7 7700 HQ. HP OMEN 2017
Laptop.
Steps to reproduce :-
Simply install nvidia drivers using ubuntu-drivers autoinstall script.
Expected behaviour :- seamless autologin to desktop,
Observed behaviour:- GDM refuses to login automatically and then any
attempts of logging in by entering password just simply fail. Hence
login loop.
Only known mitigation is :- remove the splash from the
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash" in /etc/default grub and
update-grub before installing nvidia drivers, Or chroot into the
system after reproducing the error and remove "splash"
This bug has been in existence since Ubuntu 19.10, Wanted to ensure
