Title:
System Update: a very obscure message re grub

Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
During the system update of a fresh installation (through wubi) of
10.04, the following message is displayed (next to a checkbox)

  "Continue without installing grub?"

This is the worst type of message to a user:

  1. Grub was already installed, so "Continue installing" is incorrect.

  2. A checkbox as an answer to a negative question is a very poor
  choice for an answer.

  3. I checked the checkbox, expecting no updating of grub menu, but
  grub was updated.

  This raises two issues:

First, I think that an end-user should not be bothered with this issue
at all: grub update should be the rule, with the menu displaying only
the latest version of the kernel.

Second, if Ubuntu want the end-user to be aware of this update and
keep a history of kernels, then the process should display a much
  clearer message:

"Add the new kernel to Grub menu (will be added at the top)?", and
give the user the opportunity to reply Yes or No.
