Title:
Auto-collected information cause hardly discoverable error
Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
When I report a bug, the tags field (optional) is filled with stuff.
In this instance, tags are:
"apport-bug i386 /usr/bin/python:
/usr/share/dike/lib/libcrypto.so.1.0.0: no version information
available (required by /usr/bin/python) /usr/bin/python:
/usr/share/dike/lib/libcrypto.so.1.0.0: no version information
available (required by /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libssl.so.1.0.0) precise"
It was kinda difficult to find out where the error is, and after
discovering where the error is, the information provided is very
limited. After a while one discovers that it's the content of the tags
that causes the error.
The workaround is to remove tags, but I wonder why this information is
included in the first place.
