  Expired

Bug description:
  Prior to Ubuntu 11.04 I could configure grub so that after the menu is
  displayed and the system is booting detail of the boot activity
  appears. Now there's just a blank screen between the menu and gdm
  login.

  There is no way to coax Ubuntu 11.04 to display the boot activity.

  Sadly Ubuntu 11.10a1 has the same bug.
