Title:
Should add package version info for all shared libraries used by the
process
Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: apport
It happened with bug 757219 that the fault was in overlay-scrollbar,
but the version number of liboverlay-scrollbar-0.1-0 was not included
in the report. This is because it is not a dependency (direct or
indirect) of rhythmbox. Nevertheless, that information was relevant to
the bug report and seems generally useful to include.
I suggest that, in addition to including version information for
package dependencies, apport should also include version information
for any packaged library which is linked into the process being
reported about.
