  switch of language freezes keyboard

Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Hi there.
  In my ubuntu 20.04 i have two input sources (en and ru) installed and switching between them via super+space  is successful but freezes keyboard for about 2 seconds whatever editor i'm focused in. It happens not always, bu, say, in > 50% of input switches. The only thing i could distinguish it happens when i swith to english. BTW, english is a system language as well. 
  It never happens in ubuntu 19.04 and previous versions as well.
