Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

Sorry I didn't confirm that this is your issue, however I see disk
errors, so I'd check the health of your hdd/ssd (device sda). For
example at the start of the installation problems is

Regardless you are trying to install a release that reached EOL awhile
back, as such I'm marking it incomplete.

Ubuntu 14.04 (trusty) reached end-of-life on April 25, 2019.

We appreciate that this bug may be old and you might not be interested
in discussing it any more. But if you are then please upgrade to the
latest Ubuntu version and re-test. If you then find the bug is still
