Title:
  booting ubuntu 20 hangs

Status in plymouth package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  1 - updated from ubuntu 19 to ubuntu 20
2 - ubuntu-20 hangs with waiting screen (rorating circle)
3 - Ububtu-20 will load, if I disable the multi-core usage in BIOS
4 - ubuntu-trial-cd with multicore on will work fine
Machine: DELL Precision T3500 with XEON

There was a hanging in ubuntu-18 (walking dots screen), repeating
boot with that version worked, but not with ubuntu-20
