Does this mean that you have reinstalled over the installation that had this
problem, and it is no longer available for inspection?

If you are able to answer the question I asked in the previous comment, that
will help:

 * Have you modified your /etc/fstab or your partitions post installation?
   (If you don't know, then please just attach the /etc/fstab from your
   system.)

If you are not able to answer this question because the Ubuntu install where
this bug occurred is no longer available, then we can close this bug.
