Title:
It took so lond to register I forgot what it said the report process
sucks. It said something like fatal error grub not being installed,
and Installation was complete. Then asked me to report the bug.
Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
I was installing and the installer failed, and asks to report the bug. I thought maybe something was corrupted during making of the USB bad download whatever, because I have never had even the smallest issue installing Ubuntu.
I re-download made a new USB this time it installed I updated everything was fine I was using it and Ubuntu crashed.
I restarted it and at the Ubuntu screen the dots just kept going for thirty minutes I let it run.
I re-downloaded made another USB the install failed again, it said about reporting it.
I tried Kali made a USB booted it installed not problem works.
I downloaded Ubuntu again made another USB with a different USB this time, and used another drive to install to.
Now I'm submitting the bug because it has happened for a third time.
I have four separate drives on my computer, Windows 10 Pro, Kali Linux 2019.04, and Ubuntu, the fourth is a back up for Windows.
When I boot to any of them except Windows I have to do it from Bios, none share any data, or anything.
The other three are fine, and like I said Kali works on the drive Ubuntu isn't working from.
I also tried a drive I haven't installed yet that's the drive I mentioned changing to.
If this helps it is a Seagate Barracuda 500 GB SSD, I tried Windows and Kali on it they both work.
The new drive is a Seagate Firecudda 2Tb Hybrid, everything except Ubuntu is installing and working without and issue.
I hope this helps love your OS.
Have a nice day.
Robert
