Using boot-repair to disable secureboot (purging and reinstalling GRUB2)
now allows booting again.

Bug description:
  After today trying `do-release-upgrade -d` on an iMac running Kubuntu
  20.10, the system now fails to boot, staying at the initial Mac white
  screen.

  (Trying to manually chroot/update-grub or using Boot-Repair does not
  solve the problem.)
