Why not backport the solution from Groovy to Focal? Isn't Focal LTS?
Support does not seem that long term :|

  At boot on Pi4 with 20.04.02 i get: Failed to load

Status in u-boot package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Installed Ubuntu 20.04.02 on a Pi4.
  On boot I get an error message: Failed to load '//uboot/ubuntu/boot.sel'.
  It boots from an sdcard.

  Ubuntu boots, only that I get that error message.
  On 20.04 and 20.04.01 did not have this issue.
