[Bug 1954448] [NEW] The install messages said there was a fatal error

Public bug reported:

The install messages said there was a fatal error and then proposed to
me to report it to you, so i did. I'm a bit sad i had to make an account
for that tho, it's already a pain to reinstall everything. Also, i never
could make the upgrade to ubuntu 20 when i was on 18 it showed me the
upgrade popup regularily but when i clicked to uprgade nothing ever
happened. i love what you do and i wish you a very good day. <3
