  install failure on mbr legacy MB with ssd (860 EVO)

Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  During fresh install, the installer came back with a failure message.
  Unfortunately, I can't recover the /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman to my bug.
  Install attempt was from Ubuntu 20.10 live CD with update from new software releases.
