I didn't get that message, but tried it myself.  sudo dpkg --configure
-a did absolutely nothing.

Bug description:
  Immediate problem after reinstallation using zfs.

  The initial installation was overwritten.

  The initial installation did not allow updating grub.cfg

  I do not know what is wrong, but I suspect it is grub (os-prober) ??
