Public bug reported:
Ubuntu 20.10 Installation ISO was Downloaded 14:50 Feb 12, 2021 - ISO Burned to DVD RW on 12:35 Feb 13, 2021
- Bug happened at around 90% finished while installing Ubuntu 20.10 from DVD.
Everything seems to be updating and running as designed. This same issue
happened earlier in the day while installing on an *identical machine.*
That machine, too, is working as if nothing had happened. Not a
worrisome bug, but mildly unsettling if one were new to Linux, or if
someone were installing from a Windows OS (may be slightly
discouraging.) No further action was required by myself to rectify any
issues.
Both Machines were:
MSI B450 Tomahawk - BIOS 7C02v1H3 (Beta version 2021-2-1) - CPU AMD Ryzen 3600x 3800mhz (Static OC @ 4250 MHZ 1.325 Volt) - RAM Corsair 2400mhz (OC @ 4000 mhz 1.37 Volt)- GPU 0 Powercolor Red Devil RX480 OC @ 1410mhz (BIOS MODDED)-GPU1 Powercolor Red Devil RX480 OC @1410mhz (BIOS MODDED)
*The only difference between the machines was:
Machine 1 had a WD Blue SSD that was brand new/unused previously that the installation was on.
Machine 2 had a WD HDD That was Used - Wiped and formatted from windows that the installation was on.
Thank you.
