  Software Updater reports possible updates, but shows a blank window
  afterwards. No updates are performed.

Bug description:
  Note: Using terminal apt-get update and apt-get upgrade still seem to
  work.

  Software Updater will show the available upgrades, and allow me to
  click 'install now', but after clicking that button, I get a blank
  window with no updates.

  I've noticed this since the beginning of 2021, approximately.

  1) Description:	Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
  Release:	20.04

  2) Software Updater
  (update-manager) 1:20.04.10.2

  3) I expected the listed upgrades to go through an install process,
  eventually being notified all upgrades had been installed and either
  it was complete or it required a restart. (This is all through the GUI
  of the Software Updater process.)

  4) I was shown a blank window from Software Updater and no upgrades
  are processed.
