Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  The Live Session of Ubuntu MATE Desktop AMD64 does not boot up to the
  screen for the user to select the desired language or the "Install
  Ubuntu Mate" option. The boot process goes from preparing to install
  to the live desktop. This was tested with a 16 GB flash drive on a
  Lenovo X1 Carbon laptop.
