Public bug reported:
release:
Description: Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS
Release: 20.04

Installed: 9.2-0ubuntu1~20.04

GDB crashes when attempting to connect to a remote session while in
`layout split`. If I connect to the remote session first it works,
however if I already changed my view I get a core dump.
My steps to reproduce crash:
- Run iso using `qemu-system-i386 -cdrom MyIso.iso -gdb tcp::26000 -S -monitor stdio`
- open gdb in seperate tab
- run `layout split`
- run `target remote localhost:26000`
- Crash
I was previously able to do this without crash using:
release:
Description: Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS
Release: 18.04
gdb:
Installed: 8.1.1-0ubuntu1
Candidate: 8.1.1-0ubuntu1
