Public bug reported:
Sometime around when ZFS was introduced to the installer, when trying to
use that option along with an encrypted install, everything would work
until first boot. After that it would claim that the password was
incorrect, and I was unable to find a reason why.
Doing a reinstall with the new 21.04 I tried the ZFS encrypted install
again to see if it would work. I got the same error and happened to
trace it down to the backslash character in my password. I tried to
escape the backslash with another but that did not work. Finally, when
typing the password on boot without the backslash it would work.
I have not had the same problem when choosing to install with LVM
instead.
The same issue arises when trying to unlock the drive using cryptsetup
on the emergency console. I have attached the output when trying to use
the password I want and the password that works with the --debug option.
I am using a Dell XPS 13 9100.

3) Be able to set a password with a backslash and have the backslash be
in the password when using it to open the drive.
4) The backslash is dropped from the password and the password will not
work with it when trying to open the drive.
