yes, the multilib setup is not compatible with the cross compiler setup.

Title:
  gcc-multilib / gcc-5-multilib inconsistency

Status in gcc-defaults package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  gcc-multilib provides the symbolic link /usr/include/asm ->
  /usr/include/asm-generic.

  Installing gcc-5-multilib-arm-linux-gnueabihf casuses gcc-multilib to
  be replaced by gcc-5-multilib. This package does not provide the
  symbolic link.

  Subsequent attempts to compile something for x86_32 fail if
  /usr/include/errno.h is included:

  In file included from /usr/include/bits/errno.h:24:0,
                   from /usr/include/errno.h:35,
                   from src/SerialImp.c:73:
  /usr/include/linux/errno.h:1:23: fatal error: asm/errno.h: Datei oder Verzeichn
