That day I was installing Ubuntu on a friend's system. I faced that error and thought it is good to report.

I'm not sure what caused that and what fixed that. But that night I went
into a lot of tweaks in bios and filesystem. Last thing I tried was to
convert MBR -> GPT using `gdisk`. And then I could install Ubuntu.
