If you want to investigate this yourself the log files in '/var/log/dist-upgrade' will contain details about the upgrade. Specifically, look at 'main.log' and 'apt.log'. Comment: I don't know what this means.

I just thought it would upgrade from 18.04.5 LTS to 20 automatically
but I get an error message and don't know what to do . What is PPA,
