Ubuntu 15.04 (vivid) reached end-of-life on February 4, 2016.

This release of Ubuntu is no longer receiving maintenance updates. If
this is still an issue using a maintained version of Ubuntu then please
let us know otherwise this report can be left to expire in approximately
60 days time.

  Perform an OS update with update-manager.

  Return to PC after completion and screen saver launch.

  update-manager window is no longer displayed.

  This is reproducible.
