Title:
Please consider shipping April 2022 microcode updates
Status in amd64-microcode package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
In April this year, AMD published CPU microcode updates. These have
since found their way to most Linux distributions' default release
channels. Ubuntu does not currently ship them.

https://metadata.ftp-master.debian.org/changelogs/non-free/a/amd64-microcode/amd64-microcode_3.20220411.1_changelog
There is no (public?) statement on what these updates do (or what they
do not do).
There is no (public?) indication that they have security impact (or
that they have not).
Hopefully AMD can do better on this in the future (says an Ubuntu and
AMD CPU user, not someone currently in a B2B affiliation with either
of these businesses).
Please consider testing, and eventually shipping, these updates (if not considered, yet).
Please design and establish a suitable process that will automatically
be triggered on future microcode update releases (if not present,
yet).
