Public bug reported:

Hello, I've been moderately annoyed to find my apt upgrade tasks hung
waiting on input from me several times:

 ┌───────────────────────────────────────────────┤ Pending kernel upgrade ├───────────────────────────────────────────────┐
 │ │

The correct fix isn't the easiest thing to find, especially if you don't
know what you're looking for: https://askubuntu.com/a/1424249/33812
(though there are many examples of simply uninstalling the package).

Can we turn down the annoyingness of this tool in our default
configuration?

Thanks
