how can this be fixed? i wanna do the system upgrade not always via
console. it is much more convenient when the automated upgrader does the
job. but with ubuntu-desktop broken showing in the logs. this is
unconvenient. it takes more time than it should. i suggest installing
something that forces the system to stop everything that blocks the
upgrading and adding autoremove commands where necessary. i even don't
understand why ppa's that may be affected negatively are not put
automatically in some kind of quarantine for the upgrade and after done
asking the user to reestablish them like they where cause it is not
working with containtments of sources.d folder only with sources.list.
no he has to purge am manually with ppa-purge tool. all this is tedious
work. ubuntu is not just for the freaks and geeks. it should also made
for normal people. when such functionalities are missing for such
essential things (and i think a system upgrade is one) it is of no help
to them changing. i see this as well as a safety problem especially for
normal people.
