The main.log does indicate there was a network error:

  Invalid

Bug description:
  Error message indicating internet resources not available, or offline.
  About snaps?  I don't know.  Response required is undefined aside from
  wait and try again later. No info on whether the upgrade in total was
  successful provided by message.  Confusing ...
