Title:
Startup Splash dialog (usplash) no dialog for LVM encrytion unlock
Status in plymouth package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
dm-crypt graphical unlock dialog does not appear. Screen is just
black, as if the machine is hung, BUT... If you <down-arrow> or <up-
arrow> to show the boot messages, the dm-crypt unlock text console
message is there, with one asterist ccorred already from the key the
user pressed to get there... So you have to backspace before entering
in the passphrase. Alternately, if you assume it "IS" there... You can
just enter in the passphrase and <Enter> for it to continue...
