the flavor users still use the ubuntu archive and would benefit from
extended security for their OS no? or is the way it's presented which
isn't adapted?

we can easily make that notification display only in Ubuntu session if
that's what you want though but I would like to confirm first it's not
some misunderstanding

one technical bug though is that currently the action calls to software-
properties-gtk so we should only display if that is installed

  Confirmed

Bug description:
  While testing daily images of Ubuntu MATE Jammy, update-notifier
  informed me that Ubuntu Pro is available and if I would like to enable
  it.

  I assume this is a mistake and shouldn't be presented on community
  flavours? :-)
