I've added a bug reference (LP: #1978286) to the new changelog entry.
Otherwise, this LGTM!

Please add a debdiff/patch (or git-ubuntu merge-proposal, if available) to the LP bug in the future, for easier review, so we don't need to extract the changes from your PPA package manually.

  Add testing

Status in jigit package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  jigit needs to be promoted to main because it is a new dependency of
  usb-creator (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1978066).

  As jigit does not come with a testsuite yet, I added the test that was
  described in the source file libjte/test/demo.c as an autopkgtest to
  ease the MIR process.
