Actually I was testing Server incorrectly and misjudged the issue.
Canary still has a problem. Text updated to match.
** Summary changed:
- Subiquity guided install with LVM fails to boot
+ [canary image] Subiquity guided install with LVM fails to boot
** Tags removed: rls-kk-incoming
** Description changed:
- In a KVM using Subiquity doing an install with default values and Guided
- Encrypted LVM will fail to boot.
+ When using guided LVM with the canary image, the root filesystem device
+ will not be found and boot drops to busybox.
- On boot will be a password prompt to unlock the FS. If that is supplied,
- boot can continue.
-
- Scenarios
- * Current daily Kinetic + subiquity edge: fail
- * ubuntu-22.04-live-server: fail
- * ubuntu-21.10-live-server (offline or online): fail
- * ubuntu-21.04-live-server + unattended-upgrades: fail
- * ubuntu-21.04-live-server offline: pass
+ Server has vaguely-similar sounding text, but does operate correctly.
** Description changed:
- When using guided LVM with the canary image, the root filesystem device
- will not be found and boot drops to busybox.
+ When using guided LVM + encryption with the canary image, the root
+ filesystem device will not be found and boot drops to busybox.
Server has vaguely-similar sounding text, but does operate correctly.
** Summary changed:
- [canary image] Subiquity guided install with LVM fails to boot
