  xubuntu jammy: ubiquity reports grub-install /dev/sda failed

Bug description:
  Unexpected error as this box is used for QA-test installs very
  regularly (including a Xubuntu 20.04.4 install less than an hours ago
  as I wrote the wrong ISO to thumb-drive)
