  ubiquity crash stops  the installation of kubuntu 22.04

Bug description:
  I created a boot-able USB using Kubuntu 21.10 and the package startup
  disk creator.  I have tried different downloaded iso's for kubuntu
  22.04 with the same result of ubiquity crashing before an installation
  can start.

  I went as far as zeroing the USB before making it bootable for kubuntu
  22.04.  That USB gave he same result of ubiquity crashing.

  I did find a February iso and that went through to the installation
  step without crashing.  However because of the large number of updates
  the system was not usable.
