Bug description:
  I was testing an install of Kubuntu recently and noticed that when I
  clicked on the release notes link in ubiquity Kate was launched
  instead of a web browser.

  Ubuntu had a similar issue when we transitioned to the Firefox snap.
  (LP: #1945015)
