Same issue. I chose one of the Gnome options and my desktop now appears
to be Debian?

  Hello,

  I noticed that in tasksel in Ubuntu Server 22.04 there is no option to
  install the Ubuntu Desktop like there was in previous distributions.

  Bug or any reason for this?
