I don't agree that there any deficiencies in the manpage, all of the
option descriptions make sense to me. But even if they don't, this
should be fixed upstream and you've already opened a bug there so I
don't think it's useful to also track this issue in Ubuntu. Closing
wontfix. Thanks!

Title:
grub-install documentation is truncated or too succint
Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Concerning the documentation for 'grub-install' :
Inside 'grub.info.gz' :
- Thank you very much for chapter '4.1 Installing GRUB using grub-install' : This really provides useful information.
- But chapter '23 Invoking grub-install' is regrettably truncated : It mentions only options --help, --version, --boot-directory, --recheck and --no-rs-codes.
Inside the 'Manual page grub-install(8)' :
- Many options are listed, but the description is much too succinct to be useful.
- The whole text between 'grub-install [OPTION...] [OPTION] [INSTALL_DEVICE]' and '-s, --skip-fs-probe do not probe for filesystems in DEVICE' is duplicated.
Can you describe all 'grub-install' options into 'grub.info.gz' ?
Can you fully replicate this information in the 'Manual page grub-install(8)' ?
Thank you in advance.
