Title:
Keyboard layout mismatch on key enrolment
Status in mokutil package in Ubuntu:

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
When installing Ubuntu on a system needing proprietary drivers
(typically with a nvidia graphics card), we're prompted for a password
that will then need to be re-entered at reboot for custom key
enrolment.
However, the installer will use whichever keyboard layout the user
specified, whereas the MOK enrolment UI will assume a QWERTY layout,
which can lead to a lot of frustration for unaware users.
The best way to solve this would be to make mokutil aware of the
user's chosen keyboard layout, which I'm guessing isn't trivial.
However, a good first step would be to simply warn the user when they
first specify the password if their layout isn't standard qwerty.
