The culprit is probably the failing /usr/share/initramfs-
tools/hooks/dhcpcd. Can you edit this file and change `set -e`  to `set
-ex`. Then run `sudo update-initramfs -u`.

  when reinstalling the packages, get:

  E: Internal Error, No file name for initramfs-tools:amd64
