I only looked at the Git tree so far.

The code on the merge-1.72 branch has its latest changelog entry
mentioning 1.71, I'm guessing the branch isn't up-to-date? Also the
patches don't apply, and please avoid "WIP patches" commits in the
history :).

Can you make sure the branch also includes your work on bug 2041325 ?
I'd rather have a single upload for both bugs ;)
