Ubuntu 12.10 (quantal) reached end-of-life on May 16, 2014.

  backend_helper.py crashed with Depends in _run(): python3-distupgrade
  (= 1:0.165) but it is not installed

Status in update-notifier package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  tried a cli update via apt.
  error happened. tried it via the gui. following error:

  The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  python3-update-manager: Depends: python3-distupgrade but it is not installed
  ubuntu-release-upgrader-core: Depends: python3-distupgrade (= 1:0.165) but it is not installed
  ubuntu-release-upgrader-gtk: Depends: ubuntu-release-upgrader-core (= 1:0.165) but 1:0.165 is installed
  Depends: python3-distupgrade (= 1:0.165) but it is not installed

  apt-get install -f seems to fix it
