[Bug 2026336] [NEW] Ubuntu MATE 22.04 ISO installer detects laptop boot mode wrong (BIOS vs UEFI)

Public bug reported:

I booted the ubuntu-mate-22.04.2-desktop-amd64.iso image on a non-UEFI
laptop.

After the partitioning phase, I got an error message of a missing EFI
system partition.

This error message is erronous, since the laptop boots only in BIOS
mode.

Grub is still installed correctly to MBR.
