Hello.
This is a headless Ubuntu VM. Typing apport-collect 2025389 results in an error connecting to Launchpad:
ERROR: connecting to Launchpad failed: Unable to find the server at launchpad.net
You can reset the credentials by removing the file "/root/.cache/apport/launchpad.credentials"
There is no file in /root/.cache/apport/ named launchpad.credentials.
Creating one does not change the error. I also tried editing
/etc/apport/crashdb.conf and also no such luck.
I am no longer getting a kernel panic on reboot after the upgrade, but
the upgrade does say that it fails, so I am now concerned that even
though the machine boots successfully that the upgrade did not truly
complete successfully.

Title:
do-release-upgrade fails from 20.04 to 22.04 due to mysql-server
dependency problem
Status in ubuntu-release-upgrader package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
We have been migrated old Ubuntu 16.04 machines to Ubuntu 22.04. A few
weeks ago this process worked flawlessly, but suddenly on June 27th,
the upgrade from 20.04 to 22.04 will fail, crash the upgrade script
and restarting the machine will give a kernal panic. I've provided the
dist-upgrade logs.
The command we use is `do-release-upgrade -f
DistUpgradeViewNonInteractive`
The error seems to have something to do with installing mysql-
server-8.0, and a dependency problem. I can see that mysql-server gets
installed and then the script stops with an error in the pm.do_install
command. I have tried with and without the NonInteractive command and
it always fails on mysql.
