Public bug reported:

I have been trying for quite some time to get Ubuntu working on my new
machine. I have had windows on it for a few weeks, but that didn't suit
my needs.

Downloading Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS and Ubutuntu 22.10 both produce the same
results. I have tried torrenting 22.04.2 as well. I was worried the
download had becoming corrupted. I tried using the linux bootable USB
creator in Ubuntu, Yumi, and balenaEtcher.

I am able to boot into the USB and get through most of the install
process. Right at the end it says

"Installation Failed

[Errno 5] Input/output error

This is often due to a faulty CD/DVD disk or drive, or a faulty hard
disk." Ect.

At first I tried one USB stick a few times, re-writing with different
images, until it became bricked. Now I've tried two more USBs, different
capacity from the first. 128GB first and 16GB on the next two. I am very
positve my system is within operating temperature and nowhere near
extreme cool or hot. The system is in our office, 72 degrees farenheit.

The last few times I clicked on the option that removes the previous OS
from the system. I've also tried manually deleting all the partitions. I
have been able to run windows 11 as well as Mint Cinnamon on this
system, so it can't be my system or the install USBs. I'm not sure if
the most recent images are bugged or if maybe my hardware is
unsupported.

I have a 7900x running on a Gigabyte x670 with 4x2TB nvme and 32GB DDR5
5200Mhz. I wish I knew how to include a more detailed spec sheet from
this installation USB.

Thank you for the help.
