[Bug 2042735] [NEW] package needs update to properly support rpi5

Public bug reported:

The current package does not properply suport the rpi5/bcm2712, which
leads to weird issues when using tools like dtoverlay (DTOVERLAY[warn]:
no matching platform found) . Building & using current git master works,
tho. This is unexpected, because ubuntu 24.10 advertises official pi5
support.
