Sorry to hear this happened; but in this case fwupd is the conduit to
delivering the firmware update from your manufacturer.  There is nothing
to be done in the package to help with your regression.

I suggest you report it to your manufacturer.

Bug description:
  Hi,

  After upgrading the system firmware :

   • System Firmware (0.1.61 → 0.1.62)

  The system became unable to communicate with connected thunderbolt
  devices. Monitors where hopping and flickering making the system
  completely unusable.

  A downgrade to 0.1.61 have mitigated the problem.
