Title:
Please sync xfsprogs 6.5.0-1 (main) from Debian unstable
Status in xfsprogs package in Ubuntu:
Fix Committed
Bug description:
Please sync xfsprogs 6.5.0-1 (main) from Debian unstable
Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
* Merge from Debian unstable (LP: #2025656). Remaining changes:
- Enable CET on amd64.
CET is enabled by default on amd64 at this point. The delta adds
"-fcf-protection" to both CFLAGS and LDFLAGS in d/rules. The latter
(LDFLAGS) is probably an error, as this flags only applies to gcc, not
ld. Furthermore, this flag is now present by default in the CFLAGS
buildflags for the amd64 architecture. Under mantic and noble:
$ DEB_HOST_ARCH=amd64 dpkg-buildflags --get CFLAGS
-g -O2 -ffile-prefix-map=/home/dave=. -flto=auto -ffat-lto-objects -fstack-protector-strong -fstack-clash-protection -Wformat -Werror=format-security -fcf-protection
